BeCandid is a learning censor bot turned social media company whose only avenues of revenue are data mining and selling the A.I.

Recently, the C.E.O., Bindu Reddy, started an advertising campaign in the conservative and antifeminist communities in order to draw these people to the website. Then, she goes in for the kill, telling her bot that what you said wasn't acceptable, and it learns from you while simultaneously pretending to uphold your own right to your own voice.

Of course, if the bot doesn't get you out, the users sure can. With enough negative reception to your posts, you can be banned from the website, entirely at their discretion.

Reddy has shown herself to be below these actions as well, refusing to come onto Harmful Opinions' stream because his chat wasn't moderated, despite the fact that they are usually very civil in his chat room.

And it's REALLY FUCKING EASY to post child pornography. The website even seems to encourage it, albiet unintentionally.

And my last point here is that it's owned by MyLikes. MyLikes is a company that lets you advertise as though it were your own words—it is advertising in disguise. It destroys the fundamental principle of the Internet—word of mouse—and all so that it can make a few pennies.

Dave Gorman ripped it apart pretty well in Too Much Information, and that was just a paraphrase. Go read the whole thing, it's pretty good.

I think the worst thing is the constant shilling by otherwise entertaining YouTubers like Bearing, Sargon, and Blaire White.

Oh, and the data mining. That's pretty shit too.

It's like one of those Russian nesting dolls, each layer worse than the last...

And BC even paid people to spy on Harmful and his family.

Encyclopedia Dramatica, for all its faults, summed it up quickly and well.

I love Encyclopedia Dramatica. Crude as they are, they cut right to the center of things as they see them.

I don't like ED but I otherwise agree with Mak. The more well made pages do not contain lies (usually just exaggerations but only as so far as you can tell what is and isn't being exaggerated) but the ones made by random haters usually tend to contain lies and misinformation, like the section on the Jim Sterling page calling him a "SJW" without providing any iota of proof just because he's said some pro-feminist things in the past. Low tier trolls like that usually get made fun of by the higher tier ones that make the actually honest content on ED from what I've seen in the past too.

Also it looks like these YTers are doing more than just shilling...

It's not like they don't make good points but then again, so do Sensationalist Journal Writers and the Sheep Journal Writers who parrot their good points...
