"Sim-Copter One reporting heavy traffic"! Oh gawd, I heard that sooooo many times! LOL! Yes, I actually have Sim-Copter for Sim City. It was actually pretty fun to play once you figured out how to make sense of it.

I also have "Streets of Sim City". You actually get to "drive" a car through the city you built. Fun times with both of those add on kits.

Here are a bunch of screenshots from a city I built in Sim City 2013 a couple of years ago. To make sense, you have to actually look at then in reverse order. In other words, look at the last one first.

Overall, in spite of some limitations, I have to say that SC2013 is one of the better versions in the Sim City franchise. Of course, nothing will ever beat the awesome SC2000! That was a real game changer in the SC lineup. Then came Sim City 4: In my opinion, the very best version so far. I only wish they could have added a multiplayer aspect to SC4. That would be just about as close to perfect as you can get.

I guess I can't fault EA too much for trying something new- even if that something new was generally pretty bad, but hey, gotta start somewhere. That, and Sim City 4 was a hard act to follow- especially knowing you'd have to take all the graphics and whatnot to the next level. Sim City 4 will always be my favorite, but I won't lie, I can't hate Sim City 2013 as much as I once did anymore.

Now when the next one rolls out, oh man, I am going to hate that one so hard!

I never actually "hated" SC 2013. I was lucky in that I waited long enough to get it that most of the initial server issues were pretty much sorted out.
I can remember many hours spent on that game in multiplayer regions and having no server issues at all. It really is a good game, in spite of its limitations.

Indeed SC4 is still the best of the franchise. One thing I love about SC4 is that you can use it to create custom neighborhoods for The Sims 2. The gameplay is still as engaging as ever.
