Have you ever been told that you would NOT be allowed to work, yet still get full pay?

Actually Mathews is requiring me to take 4-6 weeks off work after the surgery in June. They will pay me full wages during that time though. I didn't want or expect that, but I guess that is the way Workman's Comp operates....and it is Company Policy.

I will likely be talking more about this in the Saturday evening live stream.

You ever have one of those days where you're trying to render a quick video, and it's taking forever to finish?

Yup. Had to meet a deadline at the TV station a few weeks ago and the video just took its sweet time rendering. Made the deadline, but just barely!

Been working on getting this 5 minute video rendered and posted since 10AM. What a mess!

For some bizarre reason, it seems like the smaller videos tend to be the most troublesome. Not sure why that is.

Contraire. Rock is still very much alive. Just turning to a new chapter. Gibson and Fender have been pretty much the mainstays of big name musicians, etc for many years. Management in both companies have made some poor business/product decisions in recent years. Now those decisions have caught up with them.
Meanwhile, there are tons of smaller companies chomping at the bit. Just waiting for their chance to move up. Yes, the era of "boutique" guitars is pretty much a dying fad, but real, working musicians were never really into that very much anyway. They just want a reliable axe at a reasonable price.

I am not advocating going out and buying imports. There is still nothing quite like a vintage Gibson or Fender guitar built right and with the proper electronics, etc. But let's face it, the pricing on such instruments is simply out of reach for many of the real, working musicians out there. And to be real, not many people will want to take a 5000$+ axe into a night club every night to have beer spilled on it...or worse.

The imports are what people are buying right now. With that said, I do not believe Rock is "dead". Sure it is not the same music us old timers grew up with, but you can't deny that it is still Rock music. ....and no, I am NOT referring to the stuff they call "Pop" music these days. That is a subject for an entirely different conversation.

Simply said: Don't write off Rock music just because a couple of the big companies are going down. Icons? Yes. Infallible? No. Rock will live on.

Over the past 10 yrs or so I seem to have become more of a fan of college fb than pro. The ridiculous anthem protests are a joke but it started way before that. Probably started with the celebrations. Yes, we've had them for decades and I loved the crazy end zone dances when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's and cool novelty things but... these days, too many examples of individual displays that scream "Look at ME!!!" happening. For example, some lineman or whoever makes a semi-decent tackle, jumps up and starts runnin' around the field flexing his muscles. What a fu*king idiot. Your team's down 38 -7 and you feel like celebrating? Too much of that. It's a team sport, well... supposed to be. I like college FB the problem is there are a lot of games where it is something like #2 Clemson vs Rutgers and I say to myself "This isn't even a contest." SEC is king BTW

How can a torso and abdomen wound from an AR-15 make you recover in just under 12 days? If you got shot in those areas, you would be instantly dead.

Depends on the ammo, depends on the angle, depends on how many other objects the round traveled through before it reached the injured person or persons in question.

Again, it would depend on what type of ammo was used, and what the shooter was firing through to strike the target in question- be it people or obstacles. The notion someone could survive such a thing is unlikely but not impossible. That article does, however, underscore the pretty common sense notion that the AR-15 and other semi-auto weapons should all really be recategorized under the NFA Title II to keep them out of the hands of all but the most serious gun enthusiasts (i.e., not maniacs). But, that's just my 2 cents on the matter.Again, it would depend on what type of ammo was used, and what the shooter was firing through to strike the target in question- be it people or obstacles.
